this weekend as i was reading an article in inc. magazine about GitHub i realized i didn’t understand github or why i should be interested.  the article was interesting enough and i eventually learned that github solves a problem existing in another thing i didn’t understand: git.  more digging led me to this nice little screencast by Ralf Ebert that quickly and concicely reveals why anyone would care about git or github.

in 18 minutes the screencaster shows me everything i need to know about what git is and how github solved the problem i never knew existed… and the potential unlocked by having such a resource available to the coding world at-large
